Iconic Marketing has been named a finalist in the Business Hunter 2026 Awards for Excellence in Micro Business.

The recognition comes during a significant period of change for Iconic Marketing, as the business continues to expand its work across strategic marketing, AI representation, AI representation risk and AI governance.
Being recognised in the Excellence in Micro Business category is particularly meaningful because much of the work behind a small business happens well before there is anything visible to celebrate.
Over the past year, Iconic Marketing has continued to work with businesses on marketing strategy while also investing heavily in research, product development and testing around the way organisations are represented by artificial intelligence.
Building a new area of marketing and AI advisory
AI is increasingly being used by people to research businesses, compare providers, evaluate products and inform purchasing decisions.
That creates a new challenge for organisations.
Businesses can spend years building a strong reputation, developing clear positioning and investing in their digital presence, yet AI platforms may still describe them inaccurately, overlook important services, confuse them with competitors or fail to include them when buyers are researching relevant options.
This has become a major area of focus for Iconic Marketing.
During 2026, we have been developing a growing suite of AI representation services designed to help organisations assess how they are being interpreted by AI platforms and identify where representation risks may exist.
That work includes the free AI Representation Snapshot, AI Representation Audit and AI Representation Sprint, alongside broader advisory work in AI governance and strategic marketing.
The objective is practical: give businesses a more structured way to assess what AI systems appear to understand about them, where problems are occurring and what can reasonably be improved.
What being a micro business actually involves
Running a micro business means the work is rarely confined to one discipline.
On any given week, the focus can move between client strategy, business development, product development, research, testing, marketing, finance, systems and technology.
There is also a considerable amount of work that happens behind the scenes.
New services need to be tested. Assumptions need to be challenged. Products need to be rebuilt when something does not work as expected. Customer feedback needs to influence the next iteration rather than simply confirm what you already believe.
That process has shaped much of Iconic Marketing’s development over the past year.
Being selected as a finalist provides an opportunity to recognise that progress, while also acknowledging that the business is still evolving.
Thank you to the Hunter Business Awards and the Hunter business community
Iconic Marketing has benefited enormously from being part of the Hunter business and innovation community.
Clients, collaborators, mentors, founders, university contacts and other business owners have contributed through feedback, introductions, advice and, importantly, challenging conversations.
Those relationships have helped shape the direction of the business and continue to influence what we build next.
We are grateful to Business Hunter for recognising Iconic Marketing as a finalist in the 2026 Awards for Excellence in Micro Business, and we congratulate the other finalists across this year’s awards.
We look forward to celebrating with the Hunter business community.
